No charges for Dieppe man who fatally struck senior crossing Saint Peter Ave. in Bathurst
The Bathurst Police Force says there will be no charges for a 20 year Dieppe man who fatally struck a 72 year old woman as she was crossing Saint Peter Avenue in Bathurst earlier this week.
Cst. Jeff Chaiasson says an investigation found distracted driving and speed were not factors in the collision.
Yvonne Marie Gray was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday, March 6th despite efforts of winesses and paramedics who performed CPR.
Police say Gray did not use a crosswalk and that she was crossing in the middle of the road, away from any intersection.
The driver of the car was not hurt.
