Northcliff Resources strikes deal with Woodstock First Nation for Sisson Mine project
The company behind the proposed Sisson mine project, near Fredericton, says it has signed a cooperation agreement with the Woodstock First Nation.
Northcliff Resources says the agreement provides the community with economic opportunities and financial benefits, among other things.
Woodstock First Nation Chief Tim Paul says community members voted in favour of the agreement "given the strong environmental protection provisions and economic benefits."
Northcliff also announced that a review of the project's draft Environmental Impact Assessment report has been completed by the province, and public consultation details will be announced shortly.
