Ottawa makes changes to its student loan repayment assistance plan
Good news for college and university graduates...
Ottawa is loosening the rules on its student loan repayment assistance plan so borrowers can complete their studies without being overwhelmed by the burden of debt repayments.
Beginning Tuesday, November 1st, certain students won't have to start paying until they're earning $25,000 a year or more.
MP Matt DeCourcey says the move will help 7500, or over half of Canadian student loan borrowers in New Brunswick.
