Ottawa tight-lipped on study into possible port sale
Ottawa is keeping the findings of a study into possibly selling the country's ports to private investors under wraps.
The report contains confidential advice meant for the Finance Minister as well as commercially sensitive information.
Finance Canada says it's for the finance department's eyes only.
Two ports are located in New Brunswick: The Port of Belledune and the Port of Saint John.
The Telegraph-Journal reports the paper is related to a review of the Transportation Act that recommended certain air ports and ports be sold to avoid expenses related to aging infrastructure once leases with non-profit operators expire.
