Palliative Care Unit at Campbellton Regional Hospital temporarily moves

Senior's hand in a hospital bed, palliative care

A lack of staff will see the Palliative Care Unit at the Campbellton Region Hospital moved to the Geriatric Rehabilitation Unit for the time being.

The beds will be in single rooms and the Vitalite Health Network says the temporary move will ensure a quieter environment for patients and their families.

The unit closed for a few weeks back in January and in the summer of 2017, however this time around the closure is expected to last until October.
