Paquetville working on proactive immigration strategy
The mayor of Paquetville believes welcoming more immigrants to his community would be a good way to fill vacant job positions.
Luc Robichaud says he wants to see more Francophone immigrants settle and stay in Paquetville.
Though the village of 700 isn't currently experiencing any shortage of workers, Mayor Robichaud tells the Acadie-Nouvelle its being proactive and developing an immigration strategy.
There are currently no incentives to entice new-comers to settle in Paquetville.
