Petition launched to keep Grande-Anse ice rink up and running

A local hockey player is trying to convince Grande-Anse that there's enough interest in hockey to keep the  ice-surface at it's arena open.

Grand-Anse recently announced plans to turn the ice surface into a multifunctional sports centre with an area for racquet sports, gymnastics, a climbing wall, walking track, but no ice rink.

That's why Nicolas Boudreau has launched a petition calling on the village to keep the ice surface until Caraquet finishes building its $10 million arena.

Boudreau has been organizing hockey games twice a week and says he's willing to work with both municipalities to find a solution.
