Pilot injured after plane flips at Saint John Airport

The pilot of a small plane was injured when the aircraft went off the runway and flipped at Saint John Airport on Tuesday morning.

The pilot -- who was the only person on board the plane -- was taken to hospital where police say he remains in stable condition.

Incoming flights from Montreal and Toronto and a departing flight to Toronto had to be cancelled because the runway was closed for several hours.

It has now re-opened and the airport is working to rebook affected passengers on other flights.
