Police say 78-year-old New Brunswick man dies following head-on crash last month

New Brunswick RCMP say a 78-year-old man has died of injuries sustained in a head-on collision last month that killed a 51-year-old woman.

Police say the man, from Smith's Corner, N.B., died Tuesday.

The crash involving a pickup truck and a car occurred on Route 126 in Hebert, N.B., on April 18.

Police say the accident is believed to have occurred when the truck crossed the centre line and collided with the car.

A 77-year-old female passenger in the truck was taken to hospital and later released, while a the car's driver,  a woman from Eel Ground First Nation, died at the scene.

Police say their investigation continues.
