Prime Minister calls London attack ``a cowardly and reprehensible act''

(CP) - British authorities have not yet identified the man they say carried out an attack on Wednesday, March 22nd, on London's Westminster Bridge and outside Parliament that left a total of four people dead, including the attacker.

The other victims were a police officer guarding the Parliament complex and two civilians, and 29 people required hospitalization.
Police are treating the attack as terrorism, but there have been no claims of responsibility.

Prime Minister Trudeau says Canada stands with the U-K after what he called ``a cowardly and reprehensible act.''

Russian President Vladimir Putin has written to British Prime Minister Theresa May to offer condolences, and said the attack underlines the need for pooling global efforts against terrorism.
