Projects at Red Pine Landfill expected to begin in spring
The Red Pine Landfill in Allardville will be a busy place as several upgrade and infrastructure projects get under way in the next few months.
The Chaleur Regional Service Commission has earmarked $440,000 for the projects, which include the construction of a new access road, upgrades to a secondary emergency access road, as well as work to the facilities sludge mineralization and sedimentation ponds.
Commission executive director Jocelyne Hachey expects the projects to begin early in the spring and be completed by early November.
Hachey expects public tendering for subcontractors to begin soon.
