Province pens tentative deal with its Crown prosecutors
New Brunswick's Crown prosecutors are close to having a new collective agreement, nearly four years after their last contract expired.
The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada says a tentative deal was reached following meetings between the province and a conciliation board last week.
Previous efforts to forge a new bargain had been unsuccessful and the union had been considering a strike in the spring.
