Province shelling out millions to replace aging Miramichi bridge

The provincial and federal governments will spend $94 million to replace an aging bridge in Miramichi.

The Anderson Bridge is located on Route 8 between Fredericton and Miramichi.

It's been down to one lane for some time.

Officials say the new span will feature a wider cross-section and be able to accommodate the region's traffic needs while ensuring a link across the Northwest Miramichi River is maintained.
