Province unveils design for Cannabis NB stores
The New Brunswick government unveiled the design today of the 20 stores that will sell cannabis once the recreational use of marijuana is legalized.
Cannabis NB stores will be about 270 square metres and consist of a reception area, retail and office space, and a state-of-the-art secured storage area that includes features such as a bank-style vault.
Finance Minister Cathy Rogers says the province is focused on keeping pot out of the hands of kids and criminals once sales become legal, and the layout of the stores will help achieve those goals.
The locations of the 20 retail stores in 15 communities were announced earlier by the government but the retail prices of individual products have yet not been determined.
