Provincial government invests in local snowmobile infrastructure
The provincial government is investing in our local snowmobile infrastructure.
The $200,000 will help pay for the replacement of of three bridges within the Chaleur region's trail system.
Bathurst-West-Beresford MLA Brian Kenny says the investment will result in a huge economic return noting snowmobile tourism helps to fill local hotels.
Meanwhile, Restigouche-Chaleur MLA Daniel Guitard says investing in trail infrastructure is a "no-brainer", calling the snowmobile season the Parlee Beach of northern New Brunswick.
The Knights Brook and Red Pine River bridges have already been replaced while the Little River bridge is expected to be replaced this summer.
