Quebec man sentenced for trying to rob Eel River Bar First Nation truck stop

A Quebec man has been sentenced to 16 months behind bars for trying to rob the Osprey Truck Stop in Eel River Bar First Nation.

34-year-old Jonathan Rail pleaded guilty in July to a charge robbery and a pair of attempted robbery charges.

He's been in custody since his arrest and has been credited with time served.

In addition to jail time, Rail is prohibited from owning firearms for ten years and must submit a DNA sample to police.
