RCMP investigating armed robbery at a convenience store

The Campbelltown RCMP are looking to the public for help in identifying the person responsible for an armed robbery at a convenience store in Tide Head.

Police say an armed man entered McDavid's Convenience Store on Restigouche Drive around 9:00 p,m. on Thursday and demanded money from the employee before fleeing in a red, two-door car with an undisclosed amount of cash.

RCMP say the man is described as approximately 5'10" tall with a heavy build and possibly weighing about 230 pounds, wearing a black mask, a red jacket, black winter boots and gloves.

Police say no one was injured in the incident and they are asking anyone with information to contact the Campbelltown RCMP or call Crime Stoppers.
