Rebuild under way of Miscou fish plant destroyed by fire
A fish plant in Miscou that was destroyed by fire last year is slowly being rebuilt.
Miscou Fish Products had just re-opened following extensive renovations when it caught fire last spring, leaving approximately 100 workers worried for their livelihood.
On Monday, their hope was restored as a steel frame was erected for a new building.
Construction supervisor Marcel Benoit says it will be a challenge but is hopeful the job will be completed by the spring, in time for crab season.
The company processes crab, herring, and Lobster.
