Sentencing in Dalhousie standoff case delayed
A man who pleaded guilty to a standoff with RCMP in Dalhousie in January will have to wait a bit longer for his sentence.
48 year old Claude Joseph Bernard was to be sentenced on several charges on Monday including uttering threats, using a weapon to threaten, and threatening to burn down a home.
That was delayed, however, when Bernard disputed the facts of the case and his lawyer excused herself from the file.
A new lawyer will be appointed and a hearing date regarding the facts will be set on May 31st.
