Seven men arrested for attempting to buy sexual services

Seven men and one woman are facing charges after Codiac Regional RCMP conducted an operation that targeted people attempting to buy services from sex trade workers.

Police say they conducted their operation on and around Dufferin Street in Moncton on November 7.

RCMP say seven men from municipalities including Moncton, Sackville, Memramcook, Escuminac, and Aboujagane were arrested for communicating for the purposes of obtaining sexual services

The men, aged between 21- and 69-years-old were all released on promises to appear and have a court date scheduled for February 7, 2019.

Police say a 35-year-old Moncton woman was also arrested for outstanding warrants as part of the operation and was remanded into custody.

RCMP say the woman was remanded into custody until her court appearance on November 9, after which she was released with conditions and is due back in Moncton Provincial Court on November 30.
