'Significant' snowfall expected for Chaleur region

Environment Canada says we may be in for some nasty weather over the next few days.

A special weather statement for the Chaleur region suggests a low pressure system will spread into the province Wednesday night and into Thursday, and could bring up to 30 centimetres of snow to the northeastern regions of the province.

A second weather system is expected to bring more snow mixed with freezing rain on Friday, and could persist into the weekend, brining what the department says is a significant snowfall amount over northeastern New Brunswick.
