Statistics Canada expected to release latest job figures today
How did Canada's economy fare in 2016?
We'll find out later today when Statistics Canada releases its latest jobs report.
Figures from last month suggest a steady decline in full-time jobs, which was more than offset by big gains in part-time work.
November figures indicate 10 thousand net jobs were added to Canada's economy, bringing the unemployment rate to from 6.8 per cent.
The jobless rate was 7.1 per cent at this time last year.
