Students escape injury following bus crash near Crabbe Mountain
A school bus carrying 20 students crashed on Crabbe Mountain Road on the morning of Wednesday, February 16th.
No one was injured in the incident.
A social media post reported all 20 students were safe around 9am Wednesday.
Firefighters from Millville and Keswick Valley responded to the scene, along with EMS, shortly after 8 a.m.
Justin McGuigan, fire chief with the North York Fire Department, said a pickup truck was making its way around a blind corner and crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic. The driver tried to avoid the bus, but the front corners of each vehicle hit.
The accident happened on the Central Hainesville Road, near Crabbe Mountain, northwest of Fredericton. Students on the bus, who are part of the Anglophone West School District, were on their way to school at the time.
