Study on feasibility of new school in East Bathurst underway
A study into weather it would be feasible to build a new Francophone elementary school in East Bathurst is underway.
The study was commissioned by the Francophone North East School District's Board of Education with the results expected in April.
It's being conducted the Universite de Moncton's Centre for Research on Linguistic Minorities and is being paid for in part by the New Brunswick's department of education.
Bathurst mayor Paolo Fongemie has said a new school in that part of the city could help attract young families.
