Study to focus on treating childhood epilepsy with cannabis
(CP) - A new study at the University of Saskatchewan is looking at the use of cannabis in the treatment of childhood epilepsy.
Starting in June, the study will focus on 30 children from across Canada between the ages of one and 10.
Doctors will slowly introduce cannabis oil to the children, while monitoring for potential side effects of the medication.
The University of Alberta, University of British Columbia, McGill University and Universite de Montreal are also involved in the project.
