Talks to resume between CUPE and the City of Bathurst
The bargaining committee for CUPE Local 1282 and the City of Bathurst agreed on Friday morning to resume negotiations.
A release states the parties will go back to the table on Monday morning to meet with a Mediator appointed by the Province of New Brunswick.
The City says it has wanted to see continuity in the negotiation process and “looks forward to productive talks between the parties.
20 members of CUPE Local 1282 have been locked out by the City of Bathurst since Thursday July 25 after a 20-month negotiation process reached an impasse.
