Traffic stop in Tracadie ends in seizure of drugs and cash

What began as a routine traffic stop on the Acadian Peninsula has ended in police seizing a significant amount of drugs and cash.

Police discovered cocaine, hashish, marijuana and a large sum of money after arrested a 64-year-old Haut-Saint-Simon man in Tracadie for driving while his privileges were suspended.

The man is known to police and is expected to faces several charges including possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

He's scheduled to appear in court on January 23rd.
