Trial date set for Allardville man accused of discharging firearm at Bathurst bar


A trial date has been set for an Allardville man accused of discharging a firearm at a downtown Bathurst karaoke bar last January.

39-year old Marc-Andre Belliveau is charged with attempted murder, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats.

He'll remain in custody until his next court appearance, scheduled May 25th to June 3rd.

Belliveau had been ordered to undergo psychiatric assessment.

Its results are protected by a court-ordered publication ban.
