Two adults displaced by fire in Tobique Valley

The Canadian Red Cross says it is assisting two people after a fire in Tobique Valley early Saturday morning.

According to a press release, the fire was reported around 1:00 a.m. on June 29 and destroyed the home in the community about 10 lm south of Plaster Rock.

The aid agency says a woman and her adult son have been assisted with emergency purchases of food, clothing and other basics by volunteers from Woodstock and will stay with relatives for now.

There were no injuries reported from the fire.
