Two military members charged with sexual assault at CFB Gagetown
Two members of the military have been charged in two separate alleged sexual assaults at CFB Gagetown.
The National Defence Department says Second Lieutenant Andrew Ling with the Infantry School and Master Bombardier Mitchell MacKenzie of the 4th Artillery Regiment are both charged with assaulting fellow military members at the base.
It says in a release that the alleged assaults happened while both men were working at 5th Canadian Support Base Gagetown but the cases are not related.
It adds the cases are now proceeding for possible court martial at a date and location still to be determined.
