Two Quebec man identified as participating in U.S. white nationalist rally

At least two Quebec men have been identified after they travelled to Virginia to participate in a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville.

Shawn Beauvais-MacDonald and Vincent Belanger-Mercure were both identified through photos posted on social media.

The images were pulled from a document on the rally by Vice Media in collaboration with H-B-O.

Belanger-Mercure says he went to Virginia for his own amusement, and he doesn't consider himself a white supremacist.

Beauvais-MacDonald expressed his anger at an anti-fascist group that identified him on Facebook, writing -- quote -- ``These people are idiots.''

The so-called ``Unite the Right'' rally over the weekend resulted in violent clashes and the death of one counter-protester.
