**Updated** Pilot dead in N.B. plane crash

A 67-year-old man from Kingston has died following a plane crash in Wards Creek.

The RCMP responded to a private airstrip near Marshall Hill Road shortly before 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say the pilot and lone occupant of the plane died at the scene.

The plane was a small personal aircraft owned by the pilot.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is being conducted by the Transportation Safety Board.
