Val d'Amour man to be sentenced this week for shooting uncle over drug debt

A man from Val d'Amour will find out Tuesday what his punishment will be for shooting and killing his uncle over a drug debt in 2015.

Steven Levesque, 34, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in March in the death of 48-year-old Denis LeBlanc.

Levesque also admitted to break and enter, using a mask in the commission of an offence, and unlawful use of a firearm.

He told the court he regrets what happened that night.

The Crown is asking for a 10-year sentence.
