Vancouver-based mining company begins drilling near Nash Creek

There could be a new zinc mine in Northern New Brunswick's future.

Vancouver-based Callinex Mines has begun drilling at its recently acquired Nash Creek property in hopes there's enough zinc there for an open pit mine.

The company says a preliminary economic assessment suggests the mine would be quite profitable if enough zinc is present.

Further tests to discover other zinc deposits are expected to begin soon.
