Visitor restrictions at Chaleur Regional Hospital
Visitor restrictions are in effect at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst.
The Vitalité Health Network says visits are temporarily suspended on the 4th West (Extended Care Unit).
That's because several patients on that unit are experiencing stomach flu symptoms.
The suspension, which only applies to the 4th West unit, will remain in effect until further notice.
Officials are asking people with symptoms of the stomach flu to avoid coming to the hospital to visit inpatients until at least 48 hours after their symptoms have disappeared.
