"Women's Day" conference aims to motivate women and provide networking opportunity
Saturday is Women's Day in the Chaleur region and Women in Business NB has teamed up with the Chaleur Multicultural Association to motivate and inspire local women to work together.
A Woman's Day conference is being held in association with International Women's Day which was celebrated on Wednesday, March 8th.
Development Officer Julie Pinette says the conference will show that there are a number of female role models in the region, as well as create a networking opportunity for local woman entrepreneurs and immigrants.
Pinette says there will be a motivational speaker as well as a panel discussion which includes a female entrepreneur and a female pathologist.
This is the third Women's Day conference and Pinette says interest keeps growing.
Last year's conference welcomed approximately 60 participants and this year organizers had to increase the cap to make room for the 74 who signed up.
The conference takes place at the Atlantic Host in Bathurst.
