Carrie Underwood To Receive Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame!

Carrie Underwood is about to become a literal 'star'.

It was just announced that Carrie will be receiving her own star on the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.

She is the only Country artist in the Class of 2018. Others in the Recording Category getting their stars are: Mary J. Blige, Sir Richard Branson, Petula Clark, Harry Connick, Jr., Ice T, Snoop Dogg, and “Weird Al” Yankovic.

This is just one honour Carrie will receive this year. She’s also being honored by her home state with an induction into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame this year.

Vince Di Bona, Chairman of the selection committee for 2017, is very excited to recognize so many talented people:

“As a Walk of Famer myself, I know these honorees will remember the dedication of their stars with great memories and will be proud that they are part of Hollywood’s history now and forever. We look forward to their big day as the Walk of Fame Class of 2018 becomes cemented one by one on the most famous sidewalk in the world!”

- Vince Di Bona
