Keith Urban "Female"

Keith Urban has been working on new music - both writing and recording - and today (Nov. 8) he released a powerful new single called "Female"

"Female" spoke to Keith not only as a husband, but as a father of two daughters who he wants to empower.

“As a husband and a father of two young girls, it affects me in a lot of ways. And as a son -- my mother is alive. It just speaks to all of the females in my life, particularly. For a guy who grew up with no sisters in a house of boys, it’s incredible how now I’m surrounded by girls. But not only in my house; I employ a huge amount of women in my team. The song just hit me for so many reasons.”

Keith heard the song a few weeks ago, and immediately wanted to record and release the song because it's so relevant and timely.

The song was written by three huge Nashville songwriters - Ross Copperman, Nicolle Gaylon and Shane McAnally.
