Aaron Carter’s family is reportedly worried about him hurting himself.
According to TMZ, the singer's family is concerned he is abusing prescription drugs or inhaling aerosol spray used to clean keyboards.
"We're told the family's concern was behind at least one of the multiple phone calls made to St. Petersburg PD earlier this week," the website reported. "The last caller, on Wednesday night, told cops Aaron was threatening to take Xanax and Klonopin ... and has been talking about suicide for months."
In July, Carter was arrested for DUI and drug possession. Shortly after, girlfriend Madison Parker left him and Carter publicly came out as bisexual. In recent weeks he has tweeted about having had a car accident.
TMZ claimed "the family is already exploring its legal options to get Aaron into treatment ... whether he wants it or not."
Carter, though, is slamming reports that he needs help. "Enough is enough," he tweeted. "I'm focused on my awesome new music, yet the media won't talk about my comeback and how hard that was for me."
The singer also tweeted: "I talk to no one in my family except my mother now. Everyone needs to relax and let me enjoy my life without this false news. Thanks."
