Ariana Grande had a message this weekend for someone who accused her of not moving on from her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller’s death.
It started when, in an Instagram story, the pop superstar shared a photo of she and Miller with the words: “you’re v missed.”
A Twitter user named @VicVonDoom_ opined: “She milking this s**t bruh.”
Grande replied: “i pray you never have to deal with anything like this ever and i’m sending you peace and love.”
Several media outlets quickly labelled @VicVonDoom_ a “troll” and Grande’s fans went on the attack. “I gave my opinion and it went viral because people shared the same opinion,” he tweeted. “If you want to refer to me as a troll make sure you acknowledge the thousands who agreed.”
Grande also tweeted: “Some of the s**t i read on here makes me sick to my stomach. it scares me the way some people think and i don’t like this world a lot of the time. if only we could be more compassionate and gentle with one another. that’d be sick.”
She added: “Everything i feel is valid and safe. everything i do is genuine and honest. there is no right or wrong during this period.”
Pop star Halsey came to Grande’s defence. “ari the world could only dream of being as compassionate and gentle as you,” she tweeted, “and since ur being, as always, so classy and nice, allow me the honor of telling them to shut the f**k up.”
Grande replied: “I love you very much.”
