Avril Lavigne recently shared some hints about fans can expect on her sixth studio album.
On Twitter, the 33-year-old Canadian singer described the forthcoming collection as “personal, dear, intimate, dramatic, raw, powerful, strong and unexpected.”
Lavigne added: “This record is a true emotional journey.”
There’s been no word on a title or release date for Lavigne’s first album since 2013. Last September, she promised the record would be out “before you know it.”
In December, she and Jonny Blu recorded a version of "Baby It's Cold Outside" for a TV movie.
Lavigne revealed in early 2015 that she was stricken with Lyme disease, which kept her bedridden for five months. In September 2015, the singer announced that she and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger had separated after two years of marriage.
