Brynn Cartelli Wins Season 14 Of 'The Voice'

Brynn Cartelli, a 15-year-old from Longmeadow, Massachusetts, was named the winner of Season 14 of The Voice on Tuesday night.

The youngest winner – and sixth female winner –  in the show’s history was coached by Kelly Clarkson, who promised to check on her until “she’s at least 30, whether she wants me or not.”

On the finale, Cartelli performed with Julia Michaels, while the other finalists paired with guest artists Ryan Adams, Kane Brown, and Jennifer Hudson. Dua Lipa, Jason Aldean, Halsey, Florence and the Machine and Big Sean also performed.

Cartelli wins $100,000 U.S. and a record deal with Universal Music Group.

Despite the popularity of The Voice, commercial success has largely eluded its winners and many – including Javier Colon, Craig Wayne Boyd and Sawyer Fredericks – lost their record deals.

"We didn’t really create the show to create a celebrity musician or make people rich and famous," host Carson Daly told HuffPost last year. "That was never really the goal of the show."
