Carly Rae Jensen has hinted on Twitter that she has begun work on her new album.
Alongside a photo of a neon sculpture saying 99¢ dreams, the singer wrote, “Mucho work to do on this new album. Excited.”
Fans have begun to speculate that 99¢ Dreams could be the name of her next album.
The singer hasn't released a full length studio album since 2015's Emotion. Last year, she released a collection of bonus tracks as Emotion: Side B, after the “I Really Like You” singer admitted to writing close to 250 songs for Emotion. Both releases garnered acclaim from critics and fans alike.

In an interview with the Vancouver Sun, the 31-year-old discussed the influences for her next release.
“I can’t explain what we’re doing right now, but we’re very much into disco-y things, whatever this next album may or may not turn out to be,” she said. “But I’m very much referencing ABBA a lot, and the Bee Gees, all of that stuff.”
Jepsen is working with producers The Knocks, Noonie Bao, Patrick Berger and Jack Antonoff. The album has yet to receive a release date.
