Celine Dion To Perform 'My Heart Will Go On' At Billboard Music Awards
Canada’s Celine Dion will mark the 20th anniversary of Titanic with a performance of her smash hit “My Heart Will Go On” at the Billboard Music Awards.
“This song means a lot to me, and it has played such a huge role in my career,” Dion said in a statement. “I'm so grateful to the late James Horner, and to Will Jennings, for writing it and creating the opportunity for me to be part of Titanic, an amazing film whose legacy will continue for generations to come.”
Titanic, directed by Canadian-born James Cameron, was released in December 1997 and went on to gross more than $2 billion and win 11 Oscars, including Best Picture.
“My Heart Will Go On” was released on both Dion’s album Let’s Talk About Love and the Titanic soundtrack album. It became one of the best-selling singles of all time and was named Best Song at the Golden Globes and Oscars.
It also won several Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
The Billboard Music Awards air live on CTV on May 21.
