David Bowie's 70th Birthday Celebrated With New EP, Music Video
To honor what would have been his 70th birthday, a posthumous four-track David Bowie EP called No Plan was released on Sunday (January 8).
The EP includes previously released material like "Lazarus" (the second single off his final album, Blackstar) as well as songs written for the musical Lazarus: "No Plan," "Killing a Little Time" and "When I Met You." According to The New York Times, the tracks were the icon's final recordings and cut sometime around the Blackstar session.
Fans were also treated to a music video for "No Plan," which was directed by Tom Hinston and references Thomas Jerome Newton, Bowie's first starring film role in The Man Who Fell to Earth. No Plan is currently available on iTunes.
Expect even more of David Bowie as we embark on the one-year anniversary of the superstar's death on Tuesday (January 10). BBC Radio Two documentary, Exploring Life On Mars, will even reportedly air "a previously lost demo recording" from the singer.
