Alice Glass, former singer of Toronto act Crystal Castles, said Friday a defamation suit filed against her by former bandmate Ethan Kath was dismissed.
The defamation suit was sparked by sexual assault allegations she made against Kath.
“I won in court today!! the defamation lawsuit against me was dismissed ! thank you so much for the love and support throughout this ugly process,” Glass (whose real name is Margaret Osborn) victoriously tweeted.
In October, Glass alleged on her website that she suffered emtoional, physical and sexual abuse at the hands of Kath (whose real name is Claudio Palmieri). He denied the allegations and filed a defamation lawsuit against Glass, claiming her accusations caused "irreparable damages" to his music career.

Glass called the dismissal of the defamation suit in an L.A. court as "a victory for survivors of abuse and sexual misconduct in countries where abusers use the court system to further victimize and keep people silent." She also tweeted: “WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED.”
Crystal Castles emerged in 2006, gaining international success. Glass left the band in 2014 to pursue a solo career.
