Drake Sets A Record With 'God's Plan'
Drake just keeps setting records.
The artist formerly known as Jimmy Brooks has become the first solo male to have two tracks top the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks.
The Toronto rap superstar’s “God’s Plan” remains in the No. 1 spot on the chart dated April 7. He achieved the same feat with “One Dance” (ft. WizKid and Kyla) in 2016.
“God’s Plan” is the fifth song in Hot 100 history to spend its first 10 weeks at No. 1 and the first since Elton John’s “Candle in the Wind 1997,” which went on to spend 16 weeks at the top.
Drake is the sixth act overall to have two songs at No. 1 for at least 10 weeks. Others include Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey and The Black Eyed Peas.
