Josh Fauver, former bassist for indie rock band Deerhunter, has died at 39.
“Very difficult times now,” read the caption on a band photo shared on Instagram.
No cause of death was revealed.
Fauver joined Deerhunter in 2004 following the death of Justin Bosworth and played on four albums and two EPs up until 2012.
The musician also played in Electrosleep International and S.I.D.S.
Tributes are pouring in on social media. The band Holy F**k shared: "He was a truly sweet and gentle human, and the absolute essence of cool. May his music live forever."
