Foo Fighters To Headline Glastonbury Music Festival
Foo Fighters have some big news: the rock group will finally get a chance to headline at Glastonbury Festival. They announced the news at a “secret” gig at the Cheese and Grain in Frome, Somerset, which was available to livestream.
This is a particular achievement because the band was scheduled to headline the festival back in 2015, before they were forced to pull out due to a leg injury sustained by frontman Dave Grohl. The act was replaced by Florence + The Machine.
The news of the hard rockers top billing was confirmed by Glastonbury on Twitter. “We’re delighted to confirm that @foofighters will headline the Saturday night of this year's Glastonbury Festival, on 24 June.”
They join Radiohead, who will also headline the festival. The full line-up is yet to be announced, but the third headlining spot is rumoured to be taken by Ed Sheeran. Watch the gig, which took place live, below:
