Francesco Yates has a lot to sing about right now.
The 22-year-old Toronto singer just released a new song, “Come Over,” and will open for pop powerhouse Justin Timberlake at his Canadian tour stops.
“It’s such an honour to have Justin Timberlake choose me to open for him,” said Yates, in a release. “He’s such an inspiration to me and having the opportunity to play on the same stage as him is a dream come true.”
Yates will warm up Timberlake’s fans at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on March 13 and 15 and at Montreal’s Bell Centre on April 8 and 9.
The singer released an EP in 2015 that spawned the hit “Better to Be Loved” and he was the featured vocalist on the Robin Schulz dance track “Sugar.”
Yates wrote and co-produced “Come Over” and recently recorded a live version in the YouTube Creator Space in Toronto (watch it below). The song will be on Yates’ forthcoming album.
“This album is a combination of my growth and artistry,” he explained. “It represents 100 per cent of me, and I’m eager to share it with the world.”
